Narrow Band Ultra Violet B (NB).

The recently discovered wave length  of ultraviolet light has the advantage of stimulating skin pigmentation with no need for oral or local medications and almost no complication. The computer controlled dose allow for safety and very short treatment session time . Narrow band was proved to affect cells responsible for immunological disorders of the skin so it is used in other skin disorders.

Indications of Narrow Band Treatment:

  • Vitiligo
  • Psoriasis
  • Pityriasis Rosea
  • Mycosis Fungoides
  • Loss of skin color after inflammation or fungal infection e.g. pityriasis (tinea) versicolor
  • Itching due to kidney and liver failure.
  • Atopic dermatitis.
  • Generalized itching with no apparent cause.
